McKee Farms Park & Huegel-Jamestown Skating rinks are closed for the season. See you next year!
Please help us keep rinks in good, smooth condition! Regardless of what this page says:
Stay off ice if there is standing water present.
Stay off if ice is not fully frozen. Ice is not frozen if you are leaving footprints, deep skate gouges, or falling through the surface.
Shovel snow to the edge of the rink. Don't leave piles in the middle.
Refrain from throwing snowballs/ice chunks out on the ice.
Fitchburg's outdoor ice skating rinks are at Huegel-Jamestown and McKee Farms Parks. Bring your own skates!
Lights are available at Mckee Farms Park for ice skating at night. The lights must be activated with a switch and will stay on for one hour at a time. When a blue strobe light starts flashing, push the switch again to keep them on. Lights automatically turn off at 10:00pm each night when parks close. There will be a sign located near the ice rink to direct people to the proper light switch.
Questions about ice conditions? If weather forces the closure of either ice skating rink, we'll post the notice here. Check for updates before you head out.
