40th Anniversary Celebration

Did you miss the kick-off celebration from the Council meeting on Tuesday, April 25th? Mayor Julia Arata-Fratta and Common Council members read a special 40th anniversary proclamation. Several former committee members and mayors were in attendance for the special evening. Watch the video here.

Fireworks Display at the Conclusion of the Fitchburg Festival of Speed

On July 8th, Fitchburg Center becomes the host of the Fitchburg Festival of Speed. What is the Fitchburg Festival of Speed you might ask?  It is a fast-paced criterium with some of the fastest local bicyclist hoping to be the Wisconsin Cycling Association State Criterium Champ.  Still confused?  It is a bike race around the loop from East Cheryl to Woods Hollow to Research Park Drive back to East Cheryl.  So, if you ever wondered, come down and see for yourself.  It is a fun-filled day with activities from biking, running, live music, food, beer and fireworks at the conclusion of the event (approximatley9:15 p.m.).  It is free, so bring the family and let us entertain you!

Visit the Fitchburg Center Farmers Market on June 29th at the Agora Pavillion, 5511 East Cheryl Parkway between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m. and receive a free Fitchburg Retro 40th anniversary tote.  Shoppers can find a host of Wisconsin grown produce, fruits, flowers, cheese, meats, baked goods, preserves and gluten-free items.  The market is open every Thursday from May to October.  For additional information, visit:  Fitchburg Center Farmers Market

Market Tote

At the July 17th Concerts at McKee there will be cake in honor of the city's incorporation on April 26, 1983.  Bring your family, friends and neighbors to McKee Park to listen to the People Brothers Band.  The Youth Band starts at 6:00 pm and the headliner takes the stage at 7:00 pm.  If you have never been to the concert, make this your first, it won't be your last.
