Must maintain 3.0 grade point average in core Fire Protection Technician classes, and a 2.5 overall grade point average as a full-time student, which consists of a credit load of at least 12 credits per semester.
Must be able to meet all physical requirements as specified by the Fitchburg Fire Department, as well as complete station duties, truck inspections, and dispatch duties.
Intern Work Schedule
Interns are required to work on a rotating 24 on/48 off schedule and are assigned to one of three shifts (A/B/C).
Monday - Friday shifts begin at 17:00 hours and end at 07:00 hours the following morning. Saturday, Sunday, and during breaks from school, shifts begin at 07:00 and end at 07:00 the following morning.
