Aaron Richardson 2022
Aaron Richardson was elected Mayor of Fitchburg in 2019 after serving on city council for two years. While on council, Aaron served as Chair of the EMS Commission, served as Co-Chair of the Housing Task Force, and was a member of the Public Safety & Human Services and Personnel committees. Prior to serving on council, Aaron spent 9 years on the Park Commission.  

Aaron was born and raised in Fitchburg and is the 5th generation of his family to live in Fitchburg. He earned a bachelor degree from UW-Green Bay in Marketing and Management and an MBA from UW-Whitewater. He currently substitute teaches in the Oregon and Verona school district.

As Mayor, Aaron is committed to listening to residents and taking a long-term view on issues.  In his free time he enjoys playing in the Fitchburg softball league, running in events like Berbee Derby, and coaching his nephew's basketball team in the Fitchburg recreation league.
